Industry Consultation Workshop on Licensing of Bookmakers and Totalizators

The Gambling Board of Namibia held an industry Consultation Workshop on the requirements and processes of licensing Bookmakers and Totalizators in terms of the Gaming and Entertainment Control Act, 2018 (Act No. 13 of 2018). Applicants for Bookmaker and Totalizator licences attended, together with key stakeholders in the regulation of gambling.

The key stakeholders gave guidance on the related compliance requirements for licensing and operating gambling activities in Namibia, and applicants could ask for clarification and comment on the licensing requirements and the roll-out plan for the investigation of applications and the technical compliance of wagering and betting platforms.
